Elevator Cab Interiors

In the State of Michigan, all work on elevator cab interiors must be approved by the governing elevator inspection authority. This work requires that a permit be applied for and approved, and the finished work be inspected by an Elevator Inspector.  All permit applications must be submitted with Material Safety Data Sheets, (MSDS) for all materials proposed to be used.  The primary reason for this is to assure that all material installed meet the required fire & smoke rating for this application. One can only imagine the catastrophe that could occur if highly combustible materials were installed in an elevator, and it were to be easily ignited.

At Lardner Elevator we have in house facilities to manufacture almost any type and design elevator cab interior. We have installed many standard and specialized elevator cab interiors. These installations have included natural wood finishes, vandal resistant textured stainless steel, bronze finished products, mirrored finished products, and laminated products from Formica, GE, and Wilsonart.

Please feel free to call us regarding any questions about elevator cab modernizations.
